Lightspeed O-Series (Kounta) - Adding a Product Variant

Variants are a great way to add products with variations like Size or Colour (such as T-shirts, or even something like a coffee with different sizes). The Products created using the Variants function show on the POS within a Product Tile called a Product Templatethat is indicated with a small V in the bottom right of the tile. When selecting the Product Template  (e.g. T-Shirt), the Variant Products (e.g. T-Shirt - White, Medium) would appear and can be selected to be applied to a Sale.

In Kounta's back office:

- Go to 'products'

- Click 'add products'

- Enter products name, category & sales tax, you can enter the price as $0 as this will be changed anyway

- 'Save and edit product'

- Go to Variants tab

- Enter attribute name (I just use the product name)

- 'Add'

- Save Template (This changes the product to a variant and changes the screen)

- 'Add a new variant' (This is where you can enter the individual variant that falls below the product button and the price)

- 'Add variant' (This will save the variant option)

- Once you've added all of the variants press the 'X' to close the box

- Go back to Products (If you do a search you should be able to see the main button will all of its variants below it)

Here is an example where this is used in a bar environment.

NOTE: The last line item above is the stock item.
