Lightspeed O-Series (Kounta) - How to set up Profit Centres for DotGolf integrated Point of Sale

(only applies to DotGolf POS integrated with KOUNTA/Lightspeed)

This article is for clubs which:

Are using the DotGolf integrated Point of Sale product.
Have their DotGolf POS linked to KOUNTA/Lightspeed
Are using DotGolf Profit Centres to code green fee or competition fee sales to specific Xero general ledger accounts.

If this applies to your club, follow these steps every time you create or edit one or more Profit Centres.

Before you begin: Open the Profit Centres page

From the DotGolf Settings tab, click the Profit Centres link.

1. Click Save Changes in the Profit Centre page

This automatically:

Creates a Kounta Reporting Group for each DotGolf Profit Centre.
Updates Kounta products for each green fee and for competition fees.
Assigns each product to the Reporting Group corresponding to the Profit Centre for that fee.

2. Log into Kounta (https://my.kounta.com)

3. Open the Kounta Xero Addon

a. Ensure you are in the Back Office.

b. Click Integrations in the left menu.

c. Click the Enabled submenu.

d. Click the Xero

4. Click on Reporting Groups

5. Set or update the Selling Account for each category that matches a Profit Centre.
